Obituary of Barbara Dixon Phelps January 24, 2014 Barbara Dixon Phelps, 85 of Fulton, passed away at Oswego Hospital on Friday, January 24. She was a life resident of Fulton. Barbara was a former organist at Granby Center United Methodist Church and First Congregational Church. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fulton where she was a choir member for over 64 years. She was a former member of Granby Center United Methodist Church. Barbara was a life member of Elizabeth Chapter #105, O.E.S. in Fulton. She was a founding member of the Fulton Hobos appearing at community functions for many years. Barbara was predeceased by a son, David Phelps in 2007 and a son-in-law, Donald Hoyt in 2001. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Bruce Phelps of Fulton; two children, Linda (Peter) Russell of Fulton and Carol Hoyt of Dublin, OH; a sister, Jeanette Peacock of Fulton; grandchildren, Heather Mellen, Ellen (Michael) Marshall, Johanna (Paul) Taylor, Richard (Kimberly) Russell, Stephen Russell and Jacob Phelps; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, January 26 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton with services 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, 1408 State Route 176, Fulton. Spring burial will be at Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity
