Obituary of Barbara I. Nastasi March 5, 2016 Barbara I. Stowell Ward Nastasi, 82, of Fulton, passed away on Saturday, March 5 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Fulton to Vernon and Eva Harris Stowell in 1933, she remained a life resident. Barbara retired in 1985 from the Brunswick Corporation at Bowlarama in Fulton after 15 years and had previously worked at Sealright Packaging Co. and General Electric Co. She was a member of Bowens Corners United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir, was a member the United Methodist Women’s Association and a past president of the Methodist Church A.S.A. Barbara was a member of the Red Hat Society and sang in the Women’s Philamainians in Oswego. She was predeceased by her husband, Carmelo “Carm” Nastasi and three brothers, Evart, Erwin and Clair Stowell. Surviving are her two daughters, Deborah (Dick Campbell) Ely and Connie Ward both of Fulton; a son, Steve (Sue) Ward of Albany; a grandson, Matthew Ely of Brooklyn; two sisters, Hilda Paolucci and Linda Miner both of California; two brothers, Gordon Stowell of Florida and Clifford Stowell of Fulton; many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 8 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton with services 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 9 at Bowens Corners United Methodist Church, 758 State Route 176, Fulton, 13069.
