Obituary of Artemis D. Parrish April 16, 2015 Artemis Parrish, 72, died on April 16, 2015 at home following an extended illness. She was a daughter of the late Theodore and Anna Konstantinopoulos of Akron, Ohio. Artie moved to Fulton, NY in 1971 where she and Gary Parrish raised their children, Mark, Michael and Julie. Artie was a lover of flowers and planted beautiful gardens in her small yard, which attracted birds of all kinds, as well as, the envy of her family and friends. Particular about her lovely little home, she loved to clean, cook, garden and live a simple, dignified life. In earlier years, Artie enjoyed horseback riding and hiking in nature. She loved going to Fair Haven beach with a good book. She was also very involved in the lives of her children and attended many sporting and community events. Artie’s greatest love was for her children and her grandchildren. A wonderful, compassionate friend, Artie enjoyed lunch with the ladies and being a good, loyal friend to a diverse group of close friends. She also enjoyed visiting her cousins, nieces, nephews and friends in Akron, OH. Artie is survived by her children: Mark and Nicole Parrish of Cicero, NY, Michael and Sue Anne Parrish of Haddonfield, NJ, Julie and Scot Hamilton of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren: Ryan, Jack and Lucie and her children’s father, Gary Parrish. In addition to her parents, Artie was predeceased by a sister, Irene Buckey. Calling hours will be Monday, April, 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, where a memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. The family would like to acknowledge the care provided by dear friends Maree Kinney and Monica MacKenzie, whom Artie adored.
