Albert "Al" W. Zimmerman, Sr.

Obituary of Albert "Al" W. Zimmerman, Sr. Albert “Al” W. Zimmerman, Sr., 88, of Oswego passed away at Oswego Hospital on Sunday morning, June 28, 2020. Born February 8, 1932, in Haverstraw, NY, he was the son of the late Jacob and Helen Zimmerman. Al was a devoted husband and a proud and loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Al was a volunteer fireman for Highland Hose in Nyack, NY for over 30 years. He worked for 26 years as the head mechanic for the Department of Public Works in Nyack as well. Al loved fishing, hunting, the outdoors, and especially spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Alberta; children, Jeanine (John) Andryuk and Albert (Stephanie) Zimmerman; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. As were Al’s wishes, there are no calling hours or services.
