Obituary of David Andrew Stevenson David Andrew Stevenson, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at his home in Greenville, SC with family at his side. He was born in Oak Park, IL on July 22, 1941 to George and Carolyn (Hibbard) Stevenson and was older brother to William (1942 – 1984). Dave entered the Marine Corp in 1959 and served through 1963, later joining the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department. He spent 25 years in the Sheriff’s Department developing the public communication systems for state and local government. After retiring from the Sheriff’s Department, he continued consulting for public communications systems and owned Dutch Hill Tower Antenna Systems, Inc. in Syracuse. Dave was a proud member of the Masons, Tigris Shriners and Syracuse Court #79 Royal Order of Jesters. He is survived by his two children, Victoria Lynn Stevenson and David Andrew “Drew” Stevenson II (Kristin). He was the loving “Papa Dave” to his two grandchildren, Kyle and Alaina. He will be remembered for his generosity and his kind heart. Funeral will be held at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton on Tuesday, June 1 with calling hours from 9:00 am – 11:00 am and service at 11:00 am which may also be viewed on the Foster Funeral Home Facebook Live followed by burial with military honors at 1:00 pm at the Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery, 4069 Howlett Hill Road, Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, one of Dave’s favorite organizations.
