Houde, 71, of Fulton, passed away June 30, 2010.  Born in Canastota, she lived in the Fulton area since 2005.  Mona had worked for SYROCO in Baldwinsville for 20 years.  She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Charles Houde; sons, Ed and James; daughters, Paula, Neva and April; sisters, Mary Jane Redhead, Sheila Trypaluk, Daon Moynihan and Carese Rice; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  A calling hour will be 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday with a  6 p.m. service to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal.

Gary E. Gardner, 64, of Cadiz, Kentucky, formerly of Fulton, died June 28, 2010 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.  He was born in Moira, NY and lived most of his life in Fulton.  Gary worked at Nestle Company in Fulton for several years.  He is survived by: his wife of 36 years, Constance; a daughter, Wanda James of Hannibal; three sons, Gary E. Gardner, Jr. of Kentucky, Joseph M. Gardner of Fulton and Michael Gardner of Liverpool; three sisters, Charlotte Calkins of Nevada, Marilyn Mastro of Lowville and Sandra Cook of Fulton; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  There will be a gathering of friends and family 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the home of Tina Wallace, 504 State Route 176 (Bowens Corners), Fulton.  Donations may be made directly to the family in care of Sandra Cook, 723 County Route 55, Fulton.

Curt A. Stevens, 23, of New Haven, died Sunday in Loveland, CO as a result of a whitewater rafting accident.  A native of New Haven, he resided in Loveland for the past five months.  Curt worked in sales for Capital One in Fort Collins, CO.
Surviving are his parents, Scott Stevens of Mexico and Melodie Stevens of Paoli, PA; a sister, Rachel Stevens of Paoli, PA; his paternal grandmother, Hilda Stevens of Summerfield, FL; maternal grandparents, Gary and Jerrie Cady of Lefors, TX; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours are 12 noon to 2 p.m., Saturday with services to follow at 2 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton.  Burial will be at North Volney Cemetery, Volney.

Bernice Kimball, 64 of Fulton, passed away Saturday at home. A life resident of Fulton, she had worked many years in the kitchen for the local Salvation Army. Bernice was predeceased by her husband, Roger Kimball, who passed away in 2005 and by her daughter, Mary Ann Batchelor, who passed away in 2003. She is survived by her children, Terry (Nelson) Adorno and Michael (Debbie) Arnold; sisters, Bev Gray, Shirley Bonnie, Joan Clark, Sherry Beeman, Rosie DeSalvatore; brothers, Beaver Halstead, Billy Halstead and Rick Halstead; six grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be 12 noon to 2 pm Wednesday with a 2 pm service to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

Irvin R. “Butch” Taylor

Irvin R. “Butch” Taylor, 67, of Clay, died Friday at Seneca Hill Manor in Volney after a brief illness. A native of Fulton, he resided in Clay for many years. Butch retired as an elementary school teacher from the Soule Road Elementary School in Liverpool after 24 years and he previously taught in the North Rose-Wolcott School District. He was predeceased by his father, Elmer E. Taylor who died in 1994.

Surviving are his mother, Marion Foster Taylor of Fulton; two sisters, Frances Sullivan and Lisa Taylor both of Fulton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be private with burial at Mt. Adnah Cemetery in Fulton. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

Mary Christine Conley, of Arnold, Maryland, died on June 24, 2010, following a brief illness. Born in Fulton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Judge Maurice and Mary Dugan Conley. Christine was a 1965 graduate of Oswego, NY Catholic High School and a 1969 graduate of Marywood College, PA where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education. Ms. Conley had a distinguished thirty year career as a business educator in the secondary schools of Maryland’s Anne Arundel County Public Schools.

In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by brothers, Peter J. Conley and Michael Conley; sisters, Maureen Conley Frawley and Sr. Regina Joseph; brother-in-law, Richard Frawley and nephew, Peter L. Conley.

Surviving are her sister, Regina Conley and her husband, Lester Goodridge of Acton, MA; a brother, Daniel Conley and his wife Lynn, and children Valerie and Brian of Buffalo, NY; a sister-in-law, Sarah W. Conley of Fulton, NY and her children, Mark of Foxboro, MA and Christopher of Fulton, NY; a niece, Patricia Frawley of Hazle Township, PA and nephews, Michael Frawley of West Chester, PA and Richard Frawley, Jr. of Media, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 a.m., Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Holy Trinity Church, corner of Rochester and South Third Streets, Fulton, NY. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fulton, NY.

Myrtle M. Sorar, 68, of Fulton died Tuesday at Pontiac Care and Rehabilitation Center in Oswego. Born in Fulton, she was a life resident of the Central New York area. She was predeceased by her husband, John N. Sorar who died in 1989, brother, Merton C. Parrow who died in 2009; sisters, Marian Parrow who died in 2008 and Becky Parrow who died in 1977; companion, Ramon Rodriguez. Surviving: daughters, Jo Anne Roth of Fulton, Jennifer Krautwurst of East Rochester and June Sorar of Penfield; son, John Sorar, Jr. of AZ.; step-son, Nick Sorar of Central Square; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Merald F. Parrow, Jr. of Rochester, Mae Loveland of SC, Marilyn Murphy of Rochester, Mary Hughes of Fulton. There will be no funeral services. Ada A. Hackett, 81, of Fulton, died Monday at Oswego Hospital. Born in Boylston, she had resided in Fulton for over 60 years. Ada was a member of the Fulton Garden Club and was a co-founder with her husband of the Pathfinder Fish and Game Children’s Fishing Derby held at Sharps Pond in Fulton for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Hackett, who died in 1997; sisters, Eva Steele, Lillian Sanderson and Vercie Carey; brothers, Raymond, John and Richard Stacy. Surviving: daughter, Deborah (Michael, Sr.) Arnold of Fulton; sons, William, James (Sandra) and Gary (Luann Reed) all of Fulton; sister, Jenny Schybach of St. Petersburg, FL; her companion of 12 years, Floyd James Chillson of Hannibal; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Ruth Kittney of Fulton. Jesse A. Wallace, 71, of Fulton died Saturday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse after a brief illness with his daughters by his side. He worked as a mason by trade and retired from SUNY at Oswego in 2001. Jesse had served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957 to 1963. He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church in Fulton where he volunteered his time. Jesse loved to fish and play cards with family and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Wallace, who died in 1993 and by his mother, Georgia Wallace, who died January 21, 2010. Surviving are his three daughters, Susan DiAngelo of Rochester, Kimberley Wallace (Luis Delgado) of Fredericksburg, VA and Christine (Peter) Liberti of Fulton; nine grandchildren and his father, John Wallace, Sr. of VA. Jesse was the eldest of nine children including John, Richard, Roy, Louis, Dennis, Jean, Sandra and Elsie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Church, 309 Buffalo Street, Fulton with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Beverly J. DeLaurie Ingersoll, 72, of Fulton died Wednesday at University Hospital. She was a life resident of Fulton. Beverly was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting. Beverly was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth R. Ingersoll, who died September 2, 1994. She is survived by three sons, Richard K. Ingersoll, Donald F. Ingersoll and Daniel L. Ingersoll all of Fulton; four sisters, Kathleen Barry of Arizona, Doris Capperilli of Camillus, Joan Rumsey of Red Creek and Sharon Weeks of Liverpool; two brothers, Norman DeLaurie of S.C and Donald DeLaurie of Baldwinsville; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
