Mary Matott, 91 of Fulton, died Sunday. A native of Fulton she was a life resident. Mary had worked as a soda jerk at Foster’s in Fulton for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Matott and sons, Robert and James Matott. Surviving are a daughter, Marlene (Joe) Iacuzzi of Oswego; two granddaughters, Lisa Smith of Schenectady and Susan (Armando Verea) Iacuzzi of Naples, FL. A calling hour will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. with services at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Burial will be at Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Fulton Fire Fighters Association Local 3063, 170 South Second Street, Fulton, NY 13069.

Claude E. Merrill,70, of Baldwinsville died Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. A native of Potsdam, he was a longtime resident of the Fulton – Oswego area before moving to Baldwinsville recently. Claude was employed at Hutchings Psychiatric Center in Syracuse as a groundskeeper. He had enjoyed fishing. Claude was predeceased by his parents, Glenford and Bernice Campbell; a sister, Delcena Andrews and two brothers, Delbert and Wilford Merrill. Surviving are a son, Claude E. Merrill, Jr. of Oswego; a sister, Beverly J. Besaw of Baldwinsville; grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday with a service to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Burial will Mt. Adnah Cemetery in Fulton.
