Iona M. Leroux, 85 of Fulton, died Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. A native of Tupper Lake and a graduate of Tupper Lake High School, she had resided in the Fulton area for many years. Iona enjoyed playing cards and loved spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Maynard J. Leroux who died in 1997.

Surviving are her children, Gary Leroux (Vicki Smith), Marcy Craven, Callie (Bruce) Benware and Laurie Leroux all of Fulton; brother, Daniel Jessie of Tupper Lake; sister-in-law, Marilyn Leroux of Tupper Lake; four grandchildren, Scott and Kevin Hall, Stacy (Elwin) Hall and Nicole (Jason) Mace; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services are 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Church, corner of Rochester and South Thirds Streets, Fulton with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fulton. There are no calling hours. The family requests memorial gifts to be made to the Volney Volunteer Fire – Rescue Corporation, P.O. Box 190, Fulton, NY 13069 or to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton has care of arrangements.

Irene D. Earle, 83 of Hannibal, died suddenly Sunday at University Hospital in Syracuse. A native of Ronkonkoma, Long Island, she had resided in the Hannibal area since the 1950’s. Irene helped her husband of 65 years, Erwin “Pete” Earle who died in 2010, run the family farm for many years. She enjoyed gardening and her pets.

Surviving are her children, Alex (Lynn) Earle and Robert (Marilyn) Earle all of Oswego, Richard (Mary) Earle of Sterling, David (Doreen) Earle of Hannibal and Lynda (Paul) Stoutenger of Fulton; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a nephew. Nancy Heaphy, 71, of Palermo, the wife of Thomas Heaphy, died Sunday surrounded by her family. She was born January 31, 1940, a daughter to the late George and Lucille Bellinger. Nancy graduated from Mexico Academy. She enjoyed bowling and bingo. Nancy was a child care and foster care provider most of her life. She was predeceased by two sisters, Jane Hamilton and Bette Waugh; two brothers, Ken and Eddie Lee Bellinger and by a grandson, Douglas Raymond, Jr. In addition to her husband, Thomas, Nancy is survived by her children, Donna (Rob) Fitzgerald of Tacoma, WA, Debbie (Scott) Heaphy of Cato, Dolores Raymond of Phoenix, John (Lynette) Heaphy of Fulton and Denise (Aaron) Heaphy of Auburn, WA; siblings, Beatrice LaRobardier, Georgia (Meldon) Dodge, Bernard (Bev) Bellinger, Robert Bellinger, Diane (John) Berg, Don Bellinger and Chuck (Martha) Bellinger; nine grandchildren, America, Niki, Kristi, Kelly, Melissa, Matt, Nick, Desiree and Joshua; several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, corner of Rochester and South Third Streets, Fulton. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt.
