Kenneth Abraham, 69, of Fulton, passed away Friday, May 27 at the VA Medical Center, Syracuse. Born in Scranton, PA he was a long time resident of the Fulton area. Ken retired after 40 years in the transportation business. He was a Marine Corp veteran serving from 1960 to 1964. He was predeceased by his parents, A. Kenneth and Mary Boshek Abraham. Ken is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathleen Forbes Abraham of Fulton; four sons, Kenneth, Daniel (Dolores), David and Matthew (Rhonda), all of Fulton; two brothers, Ronald of AZ and Gaylord of Fulton; two sisters, Elsiemarie Tucci of Fulton and Nancy (Clifford) Dann of Fulton; five grandchildren, Dane, Desirae, Amanda, Zachery and Tyler Abraham; two step-grandchildren, Josh and D. Janelle Collins; nieces, nephews and cousins. Services were private. Bertha M. Shepard

Bertha M. Shepard, 83, of Fulton passed away Monday at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Fulton and was a life resident. After graduating from Fulton High School, Bertha worked at General Electric in Liverpool and retired from Nestle Company, where she worked for several years. Bertha was an active member of the Phoenix Senior Citizens and enjoyed the senior citizen meals provided by the Phoenix United Methodist Church. She was an avid Bingo player, liked to complete word-search books and enjoyed going to Mimi’s Restaurant. Bertha spent a lot of time camping at Lake Bluff Campground, where she was affectionately known by all as “Ma” or “Grandma”. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer, who died October 8, 1988; a sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Boots in 2009 and a brother, Ernest Stewert in 2010. Bertha is survived by her six children, William (Janet) Shepard of Phoenix, Shirley Meglino of Phoenix, Larry (Joan Rooker) Shepard of Lyons, Richard (Pat) Shepard of Syracuse, Donna (Bernie) Martin of Plattsburg and Brenda (Rippy) Alvarado of Fulton; two sisters-in-law, Theresa Stewert of Ithaca and Madeline Shepard of Granby; a brother-in-law, Merton Rice of Oswego; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great- great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to 12 noon Friday with funeral services to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. Burial will be in Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.

 

Clarence “Al” Graham

Clarence “Al” Graham, 40, of Fulton, died Saturday at home. He was born in Syracuse and lived most of his life in Fulton. Al enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He also liked to go to the races at the Oswego Speedway. Al was formerly employed as a metal fabricator at Acro-Fab, LTD in Hannibal. He is survived by his companion, Audrey Carvey; three sons, Allen, Joel and Tristan Graham; seven daughters, Nichole Graham, Ashley Graham, Courtney Calkins, Jordin Graham, Megan Graham, Catlain Graham and Alicia Carvey; his parents, Raymond, Sr. and Florence Graham; three brothers, Raymond (Callie) Graham, Jr., Bill Graham and Christopher Graham; two sisters, Rebecca (Patrick) Devendorf and Karen Draper; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011 with a service to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. Burial will be in Fairdale Rural Cemetery, Hannibal. Jalit Richardson, 25, and her two month old daughter, Harlee Joy Richardson of Fulton, died May 17, 2011. Jalit graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School in 2003. They attended Believers Chapel in Fulton. Jalit and Harlee were predeceased by Jalit’s father, Nathan Richardson, who died in 1997. They are survived by Jalit’s mother, Susan Richardson of Oswego; Jalit’s four brothers, three sisters and Harlee’s father, Brodey Blodgett. Memorial services for Jalit and Harlee are 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Fulton Alliance Church, 1044 State Route 48, Fulton. Verna P. Guarrera, 86, formerly of Fulton passed away Monday at Oswego Hospital. A native of N.Y.C., Verna resided most of her life in Fulton before moving to Baldwinsville in 2001. She worked at Nestle Company in Fulton for 8 years. Verna was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, Fulton. She was also a member of the Oswego County Vegetable Growers Association. She was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore “Sam” Guarrera who died in 2000 and daughter, Grace A. Lincoln, who died in 2004. Surviving: son-in-law, Chuck Lincoln of Liverpool; grandchildren, Molly (Bob) Galini, Tommy Lincoln, Maggie (Adam) Olon; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Church, corner of Buffalo and So. Third Sts., Fulton. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Donald B. Morrison, 75, of Syracuse, formerly of Fulton, died Saturday. He was born in Fulton and resided there most of his life. Don enlisted in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy where he served during the Vietnam War. Don enjoyed photography. He retired as a truck driver with the State of New York Department of Transportation in Mexico. He is survived by a daughter, Ella Mae; two brothers, Gary Morrison of Ledyard, CT and Lynn Morrison of Hannibal; one niece, Cindy Coombe; three nephews, Paul, William and Terry Morrison. Graveside services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fairdale Rural Cemetery, County Route 7, Hannibal. There are no calling hours. Foster Funeral Home, Hannibal has care of arrangements.

Terry C. Richardson, 59 of Fulton, died Saturday resulting from a motorcycle accident in Madison County. A native of Fulton, he resided there most of his life. Terry was a senior custodian a Lanigan Elementary School and had worked for the Fulton School District for the past 18 years. He was a member, current vice president and road captain of the Christian Motorcyclists Association which is involved with much charity work. Terry enjoyed fishing, camping, golf, and antique sales.

He was predeceased by his parents, Seymour and Rita Richardson; brother, Daniel Richardson and sister, Pamela Rodebach. Surviving are his wife of 11 years, Joyce Richardson; children, Eric, Joy and Brent Richardson; step-children, Nicholas and Kayla Huffman; siblings, Andrew, Paul, Martin, Melvin, Matthew Richardson and Lissa McCarthy; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 1044 State Route 48 South, Fulton with Rev. Wayne Hampton officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions to be made to the Christian Motorcyclists Association, PO Box 9, Hatfield, AR 71945. Kevin V. Osborne, 51, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011. Kevin was born and raised in Central New York. He earned a BFA from Alfred University and a BA degree from Utica College. Kevin was an occupational therapist and spent leisure time as an artist. He loved animals, music, and hiking in the North Georgia Mountains. Kevin was a member of 12 Stone Church in Lawrenceville. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Driscoll; their two children, Daniel K. Osborne and Alexis G. Osborne; his father, Vance Osborne and wife, Evelyn Osborne of Baldwinsville; his mother, Nancy Seale Osborne, and partner, Barbara Gerber, who reside in Ft. Myers, FL; his sister, Jeanie Osborne and partner, Roz Cox, of Slidell, LA; stepsisters, Jaime Gerber Baitsell of Oswego, Autumn Starr-Baier and Kate Starr of Central NY; stepbrother, Christopher Starr of CA. Kevin is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, County Route 45, Volney. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Margaret A. Watson

Margaret A. Watson, 80, of Fulton, died Tuesday at Oswego Hospital. A native of Fulton, Miss Watson was a life resident. She retired in 1996 from Sealright Company, Fulton, after 44 years.

Miss Watson was a member of State Street United Methodist Church, Fulton. She was a member of Elizabeth Chapter 105, O.E.S. in Fulton, a member and past noble grand of the Ne-Ha-Sa-Ne Rebekah Lodge #269 of Fulton, past queen of Fulton Triangle and past junior deputy for Oswego County Triangle. Surviving are: several cousins. There are no calling hours or funeral services. Private burial will be at Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton has care of arrangements.
